Darren “Duke” S. Ballinger 35, Indianapolis, passed away. He was a maintenance worker for Lifeline Community Center. Member of Greater Harvest Institutional C.O.G.I.C. Survivors include his mother, Ona S. Rush-Ballinger; son, Terin Lewis Ballinger; sisters, Karen (Jerry) M. Wood, Toni (Darryl) A. Alexander, Krista (Kevin) M. Bartholomew, Lynn A., Chea I., and Keisha D. Ballinger; brothers, Brian (Adrienne) L. Rush, Dolphus “Chuckie” E., Walter “Toby” and Kevin Marcus Ballinger; grandmother, Alice Rush; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Services will be held Noon Saturday, July 31 at 28th Street C.O.G.I.C. 630 W. 28th Street with calling there from 11 until services. Burial: New Crown Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home.
